Improved quality of care also boosts staff morale

Initiatives to improve the quality of care can have many more benefits than “just” better patient outcomes.

New research shows that doctors who are actively involved in quality improvement programs in their practices also had less job stress, felt less professionally isolated and were more satisfied with their jobs.

While only physicians were included in this particular study, there’s good reason to believe other health care providers would experience similar improvements.

All the more reason to engage staffers at all levels in quality care improvement programs.
